Oil & Water

A Limited Series

Inspired by the pipeline resistance camps that have taken place all over the United States and beyond, Oil & Water - with it’s timely subject matter and diverse casting - will attract a wide audience of engaged citizens who are concerned with solving the climate crisis.

Pilot Episode:

A non-violent action to block pipeline construction turns violent when the oil company’s private security forces show up - leaving a Grandmother seriously injured and her grandson eager for revenge. Will the grandson’s thirst for retribution be exactly the opportunity undercover operatives are looking to exploit?

Why Now:

With scientists warning that we have 10 years left to turn the tide on climate change in order to avoid catastrophic consequences, the question remains - what are we going to do?

While politicians continue to drag their feet in response to climate change - many receiving campaign financing from big oil - concerned citizens have realized they can no longer leave it up to those in power to enact the policy change we need.

In these desperate times, there is a need for drastic measures to be taken. Oil & Water explores the lengths one group of climate protectors are willing to go to save our planet and our future.

Desperate times call for drastic measures.

Diversity & Inclusion:

It is our top priority to develop a diverse and inclusive writer’s room for Oil & Water. We plan to have a diversity of race, class, gender, age, and sexual orientation represented among the writers and actors for the show, of which authentic Native American youth and Elder voices are essential.

Protect the sacred.
